Massapequa PAL Spring Track, Karate and Lacrosse Clinic Registration 3/21/07 - Police Officer James Graham of the Nassau County Police Activity League – Massapequa Unit is pleased to announce the registration dates for P.A.L.’s Spring Program which includes Track & Field, Karate Instruction and a Beginner’s Lacrosse Clinic. The P.A.L. Track & Field program will run from late April thru mid-June for boys & girls ages 5 to 17 inclusive. Practices will be held one evening during the week with Track Meets scheduled on Saturdays at various locations throughout Nassau County. The registration fee is $30 per person. Each participant will be given a P.A.L. T-shirt and a participation award. Adult volunteers are in great demand to help supervise this program. A six-session Beginner’s Lacrosse Clinic will start on Monday evening’s beginning in early May. This program is geared to beginning lacrosse players, both boys and girls, who are in grades K, 1 and 2 (as of January 1st, 2007). Managed by experienced lacrosse coaches, this program focuses on basic lacrosse fundamentals for young lacrosse players. Players must bring their own stick and a parent or guardian must remain in attendance during the clinic sessions. Registration is $50 per person. All players will receive a Lacrosse Clinic T-Shirt and a participation award at the completion of the clinic. Registration for Massapequa P.A.L.’s Track & Field program and Lacrosse Clinic will be held at the Nassau County Police Activity League – Massapequa Unit trailer at 510 Parkside Blvd. (northeast corner of the LIRR’s Massapequa train station) on Thursday evenings March 29th and April 12th from 6 pm to 9 pm; and on Saturday mornings March 31st and April 14th from 9 am to 12 noon. Lacrosse Clinic and Track registration after these dates (if available) will incur late registration fees. P.A.L. Karate is a 3-month instructional program for boys and girls ages 7 & up. This program runs throughout the entire year with new sessions beginning approximately every three months. Classes will meet once a week for a 90-minute session. The registration fee is only $50 for this 3-month program. To register or to get additional information please pick which night you would like to attend and register at the first class session – beginning Wednesday, April 11th - 7 pm to 8:30 pm as follows: Monday’s at the Fairfield School Gym, Wednesday’s at East Lake School’s General Purpose Room, Thursday’s at Ames 9th Grade Center Gym and Friday’s at the Fairfield School Gym.
